The role requires NBRC-accredited education, active state licensure, and current BCLS certification, plus a minimum of one year of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold NBRC approved accredited Respiratory Therapist program.
• At least one year of clinical practice under medical direction.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be maintained.
• State licensure as Respiratory Care Practitioner.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision performs respiratory care procedures and assesses residents.
• Administers prescribed therapy and aerosolized medications as ordered.
• Monitors patient response and documents progress and adverse reactions.
• Provides in-service training to staff and families.
• Maintains equipment and ensures safety protocols.
