Job summary

RUSH Specialty Hospital in Chicago, IL is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) for PRN/per diem day and night shifts. The role offers $50.00 per hour with a shift differential for night and weekend shifts and includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

RUSH Specialty Hospital, a partnership between Select Medical and RUSH, operates a 100-bed facility delivering critical illness recovery and acute inpatient rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• Must possess active NBRC CRT or RRT credential.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes as needed.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
