RUSH Specialty Hospital in Chicago, IL is hiring a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) for a full-time night shift. Compensation ranges from $39.38 to $53.00 per hour based on experience, with a $15,000 sign-on bonus. Night/weekend differentials apply.

The RT will evaluate patients, deliver respiratory care, insert/remove endotracheal tubes, and participate in quality improvement. Required NBRC CRT/RRT credential, active licensure, BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and a preferred 1 year related

• BLS certification by start date.
• Current state licensure required.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and determine an appropriate treatment plan.

• Support quality improvement initiatives and patient/family teaching.

• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required within 6 months of hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift, PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire).

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
