Job summary

Rush Specialty Hospital in Chicago, IL is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) to join our dedicated post-ICU care team. You will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and deliver respiratory care for those with critical and complex medical needs on a full-time, 12-hour day shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.

Position: Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT)

Location: Chicago, IL

Schedule: Full Time, 12hr shift, Day Shift

Compensation: $39.38 - $53.00 per hour (based on years of experience)

Sign on bonus: $15,000

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.

• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.

• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.

• Current state licensure is required.

• ACLS is required within 6 months of hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift, PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire).

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
