Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Battle Creek is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT & CRT) for full-time days or nights in Battle Creek, MI. A $15,000 sign-on is offered, with pay up to $42/hour based on experience. Shift differentials apply for nights and weekends.

The RT will provide critical care respiratory therapy and support family education. Required NBRC credentials (RRT/CRT) or state equivalence, BLS, state licensure, ACLS within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT credential from NBRC or state equivalent.
• BLS certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical conditions.
• Insert and remove endotracheal tubes as needed.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.

Minimum Requirements

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.


• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.


• Current state licensure is required.


• ACLS is required within 6 months of hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift, PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire).

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
