Select Specialty Hospital Grand Rapids is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a full-time position, available for days or nights at our Grand Rapids, MI location. You will evaluate patients, deliver respiratory care, assist with endotracheal tubes, and contribute to quality improvement while teaching families and staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Active CRT or RRT credential NBRC or state equivalent.
• BLS certification required; ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical/complex conditions.
• Assist with endotracheal tube insertion/removal as directed.
• Promote continuous quality improvement in patient care.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Graduate of accredited program for Respiratory Therapy.
• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• BLS certification required.
• Current state licensure required. Student or Educational permit to practice acceptable based on individual state regulations.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
