Job summary

Select Medical’s Critical Illness Recovery Hospital in Battle Creek, MI, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for PRN/Per Diem shifts. You’ll care for chronically and critically ill patients, provide respiratory therapy, and participate in teaching families.

Minimum requirements include NBRC CRT or RRT credential, BLS, state licensure, ACLS on hire, and preferred 1 year of related experience. Competitive pay with sign-on potential and night/weekend differentials.

Qualifications

• Active NBRC CRT or RRT credential required.
• BLS certification required by start date.
• Current state licensure required.
• ACLS required upon first shift for agency staff or upon hire for PRN staff.
• 1 year of related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patient and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.

Respiratory Therapist (RT) - PRN/Per Diem

Sign On Bonus:

Hours: 7p-730am

Pay: +$42.00 per hour

Competitive shift differentials for nights and weekends

Location: Battle Creek, MI

• Evaluating patient and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.

Qualifications

You will demonstrate an understanding of patient needs, ensuring that each patient feels informed and understood, as well as heard. You are passionate about providing superior quality care and you are an inventive problem solver who thrives in a dynamic environment.

Minimum requirements:

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift, PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire.

Preferred qualifications that will make you successful:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
