Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Grand Rapids seeks a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for PRN Days or Nights. Roles include evaluating patients, delivering respiratory care for critical/complex cases, and supporting ICU-level care on site at Corewell Health Blodgett Hospital (5th floor).

The position offers a robust orientation, potential advancement, and competitive pay. The role requires NBRC credentials (CRT or RRT), BLS, state licensure, and ACLS on hire, with a $5,000 sign-in bonus after 16

Qualifications

• Must possess active CRT or RRT credential from NBRC or state equivalent.
• BLS certification by start date is required.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire (agency RT must have ACLS on first shift).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Critical Illness Recovery Hospital

Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan (5th floor of Corewell Health Blodgett Hospital)

Respiratory Therapist (RT) - PRN Dayshift or Nightshift

Hours: 7:00 am - 7:30 pm or 7:00 pm- 7:30 am

$5,000 Sign-in Bonus (after 16 non-orientation shifts)

Pay: $41.00 per hour

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
