Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care professional to provide direct patient care across respiratory services per physician orders. You will collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to assess therapy effectiveness and support care decisions, serving as an advanced resource in respiratory care.

The role requires graduation from a CoARC-approved program, an RCP license, and NBRC credentials (RRT/CRT) with ACLS/PALS as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Meets state licensure requirements and holds a current RCP license.
• NBRC credential: RRT or CRT; ACLS required; PALS if ER.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience (excluding orientation).
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consults physicians on therapy effectiveness and acts as a resource for physicians and nursing staff.
• Performs duties as assigned and adapts to flexible shift patterns.
