Job summary

Accolade Healthcare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform respiratory assessments, monitoring, and therapeutic interventions. The role involves independent work, collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, and helping reduce avoidable hospital readmissions.

Pay rate ranges from $35 to $40 per hour based on experience and credentials, with benefits including medical/dental/vision, 401k match, paid leave, and more. The position is not remote and travel reimbursement may be available.

Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT credentials.
• Active license in good standing with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
• CPR certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.
• Experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a Home Health, LTACH, or sub-acute setting is a plus.
• This position is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient evaluation.
• Provide thorough medical record evaluation.
• Provide appropriate treatment to help residents maintain or attain the highest level of respiratory function possible.
• Evaluate, treat, and care for residents with respiratory problems including tracheostomies and suctioning.
• Manage and wean supplemental oxygen and trachs.
• Assist with pulmonary rehab modalities.
• Perform all aspects of direct respiratory patient care.
• Educate residents or caregivers to maintain respirator y function.
• Operate respiratory care equipment safely and effectively.
• Support staff education and maintain respiratory supplies.
