Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Care from COARC-approved program.
• RRT credential is required.
• Licensed by the NCRCB is required.
• BCLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Administer continuous oxygen and aerosol therapy per guidelines.
• Initiate and maintain ventilation and complete documentation.
• Respond to resuscitation situations and emergencies as needed.
• Provide airway management and perform intubations after approval.
• Assess patient condition and adjust care; monitor responses.
• Maintain charts and departmental records for respiratory care.
• Serve as charge therapist in the absence of a supervisor.
