Job summary

Bartow Regional Medical Center, part of BayCare, is looking for a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our Respiratory Care Services team in Bartow, FL. Responsibilities include delivering respiratory care per physician orders and collaborating with the healthcare team.

Qualifications include an RRT license with NBRC credential, CPR/BLS, and 6 months of experience; NRP and PALS within 6 months of start date are required or completed within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• RRT license and NBRC credential required.
• CPR and BLS certifications required.
• NRP within 6 months of start date; PALS within 6 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Delivers Respiratory Care Services under the order of the physician and in accordance with protocols established by the hospital.
• Performs noninvasive and invasive procedures with minimal oversight.
• Performs diagnostic testing; and Emergency care/Adult critical care.

Job Summary:

The Registered Respiratory Therapist is a clinical professional who utilizes the department's scope of services to access, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care as an integral member of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Delivers Respiratory Care Services under the order of the physician and in accordance with protocols established by the hospital, other health care providers, or the board and functions in situations of unsupervised patient contact requiring individual judgment.
• Performs noninvasive and invasive procedures with minimal oversight.
• Perform diagnostic testing; and Emergency care/Adult critical care.

Certification and Licensures Required:

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist License)
• Active NBRC Credential for RRT
• CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal) - within 6 months of start date
• ACLS (Cardiovascular)
• PALS (Pediatric) - within 6 months of start date

Education Required:

• Technical Respiratory Therapy Degree
• Associates Degree - Respiratory Therapy

Experience Required:

• 6 months minimum
