Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for Bartow Regional Medical Center. The role supports patient care within the Respiratory Care Services team, with day shifts and a standard full-time schedule.

Responsibilities include delivering respiratory care per physician orders, performing procedures, and conducting diagnostic testing in a hospital setting. Active NBRC RRT credential and CPR/BLS are required, with neonatal/pediatric certifications as applicable.

Qualifications

• Technical Respiratory Therapy Degree required.
• Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Minimum 6 months of experience.

Position Details:

• Facility: BayCare Health System - Respiratory Care Services

• Location: Bartow Regional Medical Center

• Status: Full Time, Exempt: No

• Shift Hours: 6:30AM - 7:00PM

• Shift: Days

• Weekend Work: Every Other

• On Call: No

Job Summary:

The Registered Respiratory Therapist is a clinical professional who utilizes the department's scope of services to access, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care as an integral member of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Delivers Respiratory Care Services under the order of the physician and in accordance with protocols established by the hospital, other health care providers, or the board and functions in situations of unsupervised patient contact requiring individual judgment.

• Performs noninvasive and invasive procedures with minimal oversight.

• Perform diagnostic testing; and Emergency care/Adult critical care.

Certification and Licensures Required:

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist License)
• Active NBRC Credential for RRT
• CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal) - within 6 months of start date
• ACLS (Cardiovascular)
• PALS (Pediatric) - within 6 months of start date

Education Required:

• Technical Respiratory Therapy Degree
• Associates Degree - Respiratory Therapy

Experience Required:

• 6 months minimum
