Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Kentucky is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to assess, treat, and manage patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies. You will perform diagnostic procedures, interpret orders, and coordinate care with physicians and nurses.

You will operate ventilators and monitors, document care clearly, educate patients and families, and participate in quality improvement. Availability for 12‑hour shifts and weekend rotation is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Concentration and ability to make quick judgments with high accuracy.
• State license and recognized respiratory therapy credentials.

Responsibilities

• Receive and give accurate and complete reports.
• Complete thorough history/assessment from newborn to geriatric.
• Assess respiratory care needs and update the care plan.
• Read and interpret physician orders; discuss therapy options.
• Set up and operate equipment for prescribed treatments including gases and aerosols.
• Document patient education needs and outcomes.
• Document interventions and care outcomes.
• Maintain documentation of procedures per policy.
• Ventilator care, airway management, ABG, bronchoscopy, spirometry, pulse oximetry.
• Communicate patient condition changes to staff.
• Participate in Quality Improvement; flexible hours.
