Job summary

Paycom in Benton, KY is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide assessment, treatment, and care for patients across the age range. You will interpret orders, plan therapy, operate equipment, educate patients, and document care in the chart.

Shift includes 12-hour shifts with some weekend rotation and cost-effective patient care obligations. Requirements include completion of a two-year respiratory therapy program, state license, BCLS/ACLS/PALS, and CEU renewal every two years.

Qualifications

• Completion of a two-year AMA approved school for Respiratory Therapy
• State License required; BCLS, ACLS and PALS required
• Must complete 24 hours CEUs every 2 years to renew license
• Sleep Lab experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide and document accurate patient reports
• Assess patients from newborn to geriatric and plan care
• Perform respiratory therapy procedures per physician orders
• Operate and monitor respiratory equipment for prescribed treatments
• Educate patients and significant others on care
• Document interventions and outcomes in patient records
• Verify orders and maintain accurate documentation
• Communicate changes to medical staff as needed
• Maintain safety and cost-effective standards of care
• Handle odds and ends as assigned
