Job summary

SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital - Lake Saint Louis in Missouri is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide patient respiratory care, assess conditions, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress within a multidisciplinary team.

Licensure is required for this position. Experience requirements are flexible; the role is full-time, night shift, 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent in respiratory care and related education.
• No prior experience required.
• Licensure required: BLS, CRT, and state RCP where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine appropriate respiratory therapies.
• Implement prescribed respiratory treatments and monitor patient progress.
• Operate and maintain respiratory care equipment and document care provided.
• Educate patients and families about respiratory conditions and therapies.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure safety in the department.
