Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise, Idaho is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist. You will provide general and emergency respiratory care under physician protocols, including airway and ventilator management, ABG analysis, and pulmonary diagnostics.

You will round with physicians in critical care, serve as a preceptor for staff, and help ensure quality patient care across age groups while adhering to department policies.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice respiratory care in Idaho or Oregon
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) NBRC
• BLS certification required at hire
• ACLS/PALS within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Provides general and emergency respiratory therapy procedures per physicians and protocols
• Performs airway and ventilator management, ABG analysis and interpretation
• Routinely rounds with physicians in critical care units and acts as a preceptor
• Supports department managers with Performance Improvement projects and staff development

Skills

Basic Life Support (BLS)

ACLS/PALS within 6 months

Education

Idaho or Oregon license to practice respiratory care

RRT NBRC certification
