Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory care procedures across hospital settings according to policies.
• Document and charge for respiratory care procedures; maintain care plans.
• Verify physician orders for respiratory therapy and initiate treatments.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and disinfect respiratory equipment.
• Administer oxygen and ventilation support and manage airways as ordered.
• Assist in airway management and suctioning, including CPR when needed.
• Support weaning from ventilators and spontaneous breathing trials as ordered.
• Provide patient and family education and participate in rounds.
