Job summary

Adventist Health White Memorial Montebello is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide adult and geriatric respiratory care, including arterial blood gases, ventilated patient support, and documentation for charges. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with preferred Master’s degree and three years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; some certifications may require Bachelor’s (Preferred).
• Master’s Degree (Preferred).
• Three years’ technical experience (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assess and document appropriateness of prescribed therapy for respiratory care.
• Administer aerosol and oxygen therapy and manage care for ventilated patients.
• Perform arterial blood gases per policy and physician order.
• Assist in training and supervision of new employees; document care and charges.
• Conduct pulmonary function tests and cardio-respiratory procedures; guide treatment and prognosis.
• Maintain equipment and assist in bronchoscopy and other procedures.
