Job summary

CarnegiePark in Pittsburgh is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to perform respiratory therapy, assessment, and direct patient care for patients with pulmonary deficiencies. You will follow policies, collect data, and plan care outcomes under supervision.

The role requires an Associate Degree in respiratory care, CPR/BLS and ACLS; a BS in health care is preferred. Previous acute/subacute respiratory experience is desirable; strong teamwork and safety practice are essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, an Associate Degree from an accredited school.
• Must be a Graduate of a respiratory care program.
• Bachelor of Science degree in the health care field preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year respiratory experience in an acute and/or subacute unit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory/pulmonary therapy and direct patient care.
• Follow supervisor schedules and facility policies and procedures.
• Assess signs and symptoms and collect data.
• Plan for outcomes of care and implement interventions per plan and policy.
• Maintain infection control and safety procedures.
