Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist for day shift in Mishawaka, IN. Responsibilities include providing respiratory therapy to stabilize or treat patients and operating oxygen and related therapies while documenting care in patient records.

Qualifications include AMA-accredited program completion, Indiana RT licensure, and NBRC RRT certification; CCU/NICU/Open Heart/Bronchoscopy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the State of Indiana.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the NBRC.
• Experience in Critical Care, NICU, Open Heart Recovery, and Bronchoscopy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides respiratory therapy designed to stabilize, prevent or remedy patient respiratory problems. Arranges and operates oxygen and other therapeutic gas and aerosolized, meter dosed, or powdered medications to patients. Operates various mechanical devices that aid in recovery. Cleans and checks equipment regularly and records data in patient records.
