Ochsner Health is seeking a Licensed Respiratory Therapist for the OLG St. Martin Hospital Respiratory Therapy department on a PRN basis in Louisiana.

The role involves providing respiratory care treatment, oxygen services, diagnostic testing and ventilation support to neonatal through geriatric patients, under physician orders and policy guidance. Responsibilities include arterial blood gas analysis, EKG interpretation, ventilator management, and patient education, with emphasis on safety,

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy required.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist certification.
• Current License as a Respiratory Therapist in the practicing state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS obtained within 90 days.

Responsabilités

• Performs routine and advanced respiratory procedures per established policy and procedure.
• Reviews and documents all clinical information for each patient.
• Educates patients and co-workers on procedures and treatment plans.
• Performs diagnostic procedures.
• Provides patient care across neonatal to geriatric ages, adapting to population needs.
