Job summary

Advocate Children's Hospital Park Ridge seeks a Respiratory Therapist to deliver expert respiratory care on a 3rd shift team. You will operate ventilators, assist with procedures, and manage patient therapies across critical and non-critical care venues, while maintaining safety and quality in a 36-hour week.

You must have an associate degree in respiratory care, state RCP license, NBRC credentials, and AHA BLS.

Qualifications

• Requires Respiratory Care Practitioner license in the practicing state.
• NBRC RRT credential within 12 months OR CRT credential if obtained before 2023.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from AHA.

Responsibilities

• Support assessment of patients using pulmonary diagnostics and related data.
• Operate ventilators in critical and non-critical care settings and assist physicians with procedures.
• Provide prescribed medications and therapies per orders and protocols.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment; ensure safety and proper function.
• Educate patients on therapy purpose, techniques, and self-care goals.
