Job summary

Advocate Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care for neonatal and pediatric patients during the 3rd shift. You will work in NICU, PICU, and other pediatric units, with a strong orientation and opportunities for professional growth.

The role requires an Associate degree in Respiratory Care, an active RCP license, NBRC credentials (RRT/ CRT), and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited respiratory care program, with a minimum of an associate degree.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive respiratory care per standards and policies.
• Operate ventilators in critical and non-critical settings and assist physicians.
• Deliver prescribed medications and therapies.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment; report safety issues.
• Educate patients and families on therapy goals and self-care.
• Lead in clinical problem solving and collaborate with other departments.
