Job summary

Advocate Children’s Hospital – Park Ridge seeks a Respiratory Therapist to deliver comprehensive respiratory care during 0.9 FTE night shifts and every third weekend. You will administer therapies, operate ventilators, and support physicians while ensuring patient safety and quality care within a multi-disciplinary team.

Requirements include an Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy, NBRC CRT, BLS, and other certifications as applicable.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, written and verbal.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in electronic medical records and email systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate respiratory care per standards.
• Operate ventilators in various care settings and assist physicians.
• Deliver prescribed therapies and monitor patient responses.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment; ensure safety and proper function.
• Educate patients about therapy goals and self-care.
