Job summary

Saint Joseph Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Dorchester/Boston, MA, seeks a strong Respiratory Therapist (RT) to administer respiratory therapy for long-term and skilled nursing residents. The RT will set up equipment, monitor patient responses, and collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize outcomes.

The role requires a current MA RT license and graduation from an accredited respiratory therapy program.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Respiratory Therapist license issued by the MA Board of Respiratory Care.
• Working knowledge of computers; PCC experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy per physician prescription for long term care residents.
• Set up and operate equipment to deliver prescribed parameters (volume, O2, temp, nebulizers).
• Monitor patient response via vital signs and consult physician if adverse reactions.
• Inspect and test equipment; arrange repairs as needed.
