Job summary

St. Mary Rehabilitation Hospital, a state-of-the-art 50-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation facility, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for PRN coverage.

You will support patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, and other serious conditions with oxygen therapy and ventilator management in a facility dedicated to rehabilitation and healing. Qualifications

• Current state Respiratory Therapist license.
• 3+ years cardiopulmonary/respiratory care experience preferred.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
• CPR certification (BLS required; ACLS per unit).

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of oxygen delivery methods and equipment; monitor for side effects.
• Administer ordered respiratory therapy treatments; understand indications and dosing parameters.
• Set up and monitor mechanical ventilators; perform airway management and suctioning.
• Assess pain affecting function and notify physician for intervention.
• Perform arterial punctures to obtain ABG samples; recognize complications.
• Perform EKGs and document results per procedure.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned.
