Job summary

Kindred Hospital Chattanooga is seeking a licensed Respiratory Therapist to provide safe and competent respiratory care as ordered by physicians. The role includes monitoring mechanical ventilation, administering medications, and performing patient assessments across hospital areas.

The position requires strong documentation, teamwork, and the ability to respond effectively in emergencies. ACLS and BLS certifications are required, with at least 1 year of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer safe respiratory care as ordered by physician.
• Monitor mechanical ventilation and administer medications as prescribed.
• Document all Respiratory Care procedures accurately.
• Verify and update patient profiles and reports.
• Assist in patient care rounds and department meetings.
• Provide airway management including intubation assistance and CPR.
• Update physicians on patient status and recommend therapy adjustments.
