Job summary

Kindred Hospital Lima is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide safe, competent respiratory care under physician orders in a 26-bed LTAC setting.

You will assess patients, manage mechanical ventilation, administer meds, monitor ABGs, and educate patients and families while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

This role requires strong communication, ability to work under stress, and commitment to continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Must have Respiratory Therapy education and be credentialed.
• Current Respiratory Therapy license for the appropriate state.
• CRT/RRT credential or CMP compliance required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• 1 year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory care procedures per policy and protocols.
• Manage oxygen delivery and ventilation as ordered.
• Verify and initiate physician orders for Respiratory Care.
• Document care and charge capture accurately.
• Assist in bronchoscopy and airway procedures as directed.
• Perform ABG sampling and analysis with quality control.
• Provide patient and family teaching; handoffs and rounds participation.
