Birchwood Park Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for the Long Term Care Unit. The RT will assess and treat adults with cardiopulmonary needs, delivering diagnostic and therapeutic interventions while coordinating with the care team.

The position offers a competitive hourly rate with added benefits, including paid in-service training, 1.5x holiday pay, 1.5x overtime pay, 401k, PayActiv access, and tuition reimbursement through ECPI.

Competenze

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
• VA Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or equivalent credential.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA).
• NBRC credentials current (RRT/RRT-NPS/CPFT/RPFT) for new hires after 7/1/2021.

Responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist (RT):

Responsible for assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions affecting the cardiopulmonary system for adults. Selects and administers the appropriate care, taking into consideration the age, development level and size of the patient. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing. Should be able to identify own limitations and seek appropriate resources, as needed.

Qualifications of the Respiratory Therapist:

• Associate's Degree
• VA Respiratory Care Practitioner License
• Respiratory Care Practitioner
• BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA
• NBRC Credentials renewed and current for all applicable credentials ( RRT, RRT-NPS, CPFT, RPFT) (Minimum for new hires post 7/1/2021)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS OF THE RESPIRATORY THERAPIST:

Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy
