Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in respiratory care or related field.
• VA Respiratory Care Practitioner license and active credentialing.
• Active Respiratory Care Practitioner eligibility and NBRC credentials.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers issued by AHA.
• NBRC credentials renewed and current (RRT, RRT-NPS, CPFT, RPFT).
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic interventions for the cardiopulmonary system in adults.
• Select and administer appropriate respiratory care with patient-centered approach.
• Identify own limitations and seek resources as needed to ensure safety.

Pay and Compensation

You will earn a competitive hourly rate.

Additional compensation includes:

• 1.5X Holiday Pay
• 1.5X Overtime Pay for every hour worked over 40 hours per week

Responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist (RT):

Responsible for assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions affecting the cardiopulmonary system for adults. Selects and administers the appropriate care, taking into consideration the age, development level and size of the patient. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing. Should be able to identify own limitations and seek appropriate resources, as needed.

Qualifications of the Respiratory Therapist:

• Associate's Degree
• VA Respiratory Care Practitioner License
• Respiratory Care Practitioner
• BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA
• NBRC Credentials renewed and current for all applicable credentials ( RRT, RRT-NPS, CPFT, RPFT) (Minimum for new hires post 7/1/2021)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS OF THE RESPIRATORY THERAPIST:
