Job summary

Prestige Care of Fairfield is seeking a compassionate Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality respiratory care in our skilled nursing and long-term care community in Fairfield, IA. You will deliver treatments, monitor residents, and collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to support respiratory health.

The ideal candidate holds a current CRT or RRT license and BLS certification, with preferred ACLS and experience in post-acute care.

Qualifications

• Current CRT or RRT license in good standing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or post-acute care (preferred).
• ACLS certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory treatments and therapies as ordered by the physician.
• Assess and monitor resident respiratory status during routine treatments and rounds.
• Identify changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns to nursing and providers.
• Assist with management of oxygen therapy and oxygen equipment.
• Monitor residents using respiratory devices and therapies.
• Perform routine respiratory assessments including breath sounds, respiratory effort, oxygen saturation, and treatment effectiveness.
• Recognize early signs of respiratory decline and initiate appropriate communication and intervention.

Respiratory Qualifications

Required

• Current Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) license in good standing
