Job summary

Prestige Healthcare Management is seeking a compassionate Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality respiratory care within our skilled nursing and long-term care community. The role involves administering treatments, monitoring residents, and coordinating with nursing and providers to ensure optimal respiratory health.

Required credentials include CRT or RRT license and BLS certification, with ACLS preferred. Experience in skilled nursing or post-acute care is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapist license (CRT or RRT) and BLS certification are required.
• ACLS certification is preferred but not required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory treatments and therapies as ordered by the physician.
• Assess and monitor resident respiratory status during routine treatments and rounds.
• Identify changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns to nursing and providers.
• Assist with management of oxygen therapy and oxygen equipment.
• Monitor residents using respiratory devices and therapies.
• Perform routing respiratory assessments including breath sounds, effort, oxygen saturation, and treatment effectiveness.
• Recognize early signs of respiratory decline and initiate appropriate communication and intervention.

Respiratory Therapist Essential Duties

• Monitor residents utilizing respiratory devices and therapies

• Perform routing respiratory assessment including breath sounds, respiratory effort, oxygen saturation, and treatment effectiveness

• Recognize early sign of respiratory decline and initiate appropriate communication and intervention

Respiratory Qualifications

Required

• Current Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) license in good standing

• Current BLS certification

Preferred

• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or post-acute care

• ACLS certification
