Job summary

BayCare Health System's South Florida Baptist Hospital is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join the Respiratory Care Services team in a full-time, day-shift role. This position is based at South Florida Baptist Hospital, a trusted community hospital.

The RRT will deliver respiratory care under physician orders, perform invasive and noninvasive procedures, and participate in diagnostic testing and critical care as needed.

Qualifications

• RRT license is required and NBRC credential must be active.
• CPR and BLS are required; NRP within 6 months of start date; ACLS and PALS within 6 months.
• Technical Respiratory Therapy Degree or an Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy is required.
• Minimum 6 months of experience in a clinical Respiratory Therapy role.

Responsibilities

• Delivers respiratory care services under physician orders and established protocols.
• Performs noninvasive and invasive procedures with supervision as needed.
• Performs diagnostic testing and provides emergency/adult critical care as required.

Job Summary

The Registered Respiratory Therapist is a clinical professional who utilizes the department's scope of services to access, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care as an integral member of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Delivers Respiratory Care Services under the order of the physician and in accordance with protocols established by the hospital, other health care providers, or the board and functions in situations of unsupervised patient contact requiring individual judgment.
• Performs noninvasive and invasive procedures with minimal oversight.
• Perform diagnostic testing; and Emergency care/Adult critical care.

Certification and Licensures

Required:

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist License)
• Active NBRC Credential for RRT
• CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal) - within 6 months of start date
• ACLS (Cardiovascular)
• PALS (Pediatric) - within 6 months of start date

Education

Required:

• Technical Respiratory Therapy Degree
• Associates Degree - Respiratory Therapy

Experience

Required:

• 6 months minimum
