Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our Float Team in Clearwater, Florida. This full-time position requires working nights and delivering exceptional care under physician orders. You will perform a variety of procedures, including diagnostic testing and emergency care, while floating to regional hospitals as necessary.

Qualifications

• 6 Months Respiratory experience required.
• RRT (Respiratory Therapy License) is required.
• Active NBRC Credential for RRT is required.
• CPR certification required.
• NRP certification required within 6 months.
• ACLS certification required.
• PALS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Respiratory Care Services per physician orders.
• Perform noninvasive and invasive procedures with minimal oversight.
• Conduct diagnostic testing and emergency care for adult critical care.
• Float to regional hospitals when needed.

Position Details

• Facility: BayCare Health System - Respiratory Care Services
• Location: CENTRAL: SJW, SJCH, SJM, SJS
• Status: Full Time, Exempt: No
• Shift Hours: 6:30PM - 7:00AM
• Shift: Nights
• Weekend Work: Every Other
• On Call: No

The Respiratory Therapist is a clinical professional who utilizes the department's scope of services to access, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care as an integral member of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Delivers Respiratory Care Services under the order of the physician and in accordance with protocols established by the hospital, other health care providers, or the board and functions in situations of unsupervised patient contact requiring individual judgment.
• Performs noninvasive and invasive procedures with minimal oversight.
• Perform diagnostic testing; and Emergency care/Adult critical care
• Float to regional hospitals when needed in Hillsborough County

Certifications and Licensures

• RRT (Respiratory Therapy License) (Required)
• Active NBRC Credential for RRT (Required)
• CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) (Required)
• NRP (Neonatal) - within 6 months (Required)ACLS (Cardiovascular) (Required)
