Job Summary

This role involves evaluating, administering, and documenting various respiratory therapy treatments for patients with heart and lung issues in hospital settings, including intensive care and emergency rooms. Responsibilities include setting up and monitoring complex respiratory equipment, performing routine treatments such as oxygen therapy and airway care, monitoring patient responses, and advising physicians on treatment effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory care procedures like Aerosol Therapy, ABGs, ETTs, Bronchus, ECGs, CPT, Vent Care, CPAP/BIPAP, adhering to safety and procedural standards.
• Evaluate and assess patients' cardiopulmonary conditions using physical exams and diagnostic data.
• Document all activities and billing in the computer system.
• Participate in equipment transfer, maintenance, and restocking.
• Provide resuscitation services, participate in training, and contribute to quality improvement projects.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved Respiratory Therapy program.
• One year of recent clinical experience in Respiratory Care.
• Licensed as a respiratory care practitioner in Washington State.
• Current RRT certification from the NBRC.
• Current BLS certification.
• Additional certifications for hyperbaric medicine are required for relevant roles.

Additional Information

This location requires quarterly AHA RQI competency certification post-hire, which must be completed internally.

Salary Range

$35.81 - $54.07/hour
