Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas West in Nashville, TN is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for the night shift, full-time, to deliver expert respiratory care and participate in emergent resuscitation. You will assess patient needs, operate, monitor and adjust therapies, document real‑time status, and guide families to community resources.

• Expertly manage and monitor high-level respiratory equipment and treatments, adjusting protocols based on patient outcomes.


• Act as a core member of the emergency resuscitation team, providing life‑saving intervention during critical codes.


• Vigilantly monitor and document patient conditions, ensuring the medical team is informed of real‑time changes.


• Empower families with the knowledge to manage health conditions and connect them with vital community support resources.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American HeartAssociation or American Red Cross accepted.


• Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.


• Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Respiratory Care obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
