Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System in Mishawaka, IN is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a part-time night shift. The role requires 24 hours per month (two 12-hour shifts) and one winter holiday.

The department emphasizes patient-centered care with modern technology and a collaborative team environment. Qualifications include graduation from an AMA-accredited program, Indiana RT licensure, and NBRC CRT certification; ICU, NICU, and Bronchoscopy experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA accredited program.
• Current Indiana Respiratory Therapist license.
• CRT certification with NBRC.
• Experience in Critical Care, NICU, Open Heart Recovery, and Bronchoscopy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy designed to stabilize, prevent or remedy patient respiratory problems and operate related devices; document therapy in patient records.

What you'll do:

• Provides respiratory therapy designed to stabilize, prevent or remedy patient respiratory problems. Arranges and operates a variety of oxygen and other therapeutic gas and aerosolized, meter dosed, or powdered medications to patients. Operates various mechanical devices that aid in the recovery of patients. Cleans and checks equipment regularly for proper functioning and records data obtained during therapy in patient records.

What you'll need:

• Graduate of an AMA accredited program
• Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the State of Indiana
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) through the National Board of respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Experience in Critical Care, NICU, Open Heart Recovery, and Bronchoscopy preferred
