Job summary

AMG Specialty Hospital – Albuquerque is seeking PRN Respiratory Therapists for night shifts to provide respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary needs.

The role requires completion of an approved respiratory care program, current BLS, and 1–3 years of related experience. Night shift differential applies; employees enjoy ESOP participation within AMG’s hospital system.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved respiratory care program.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of one to three years of related work experience.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor respiratory care and life support as prescribed.
• Operate and monitor respiratory equipment (ventilators, gas delivery, humidification, aerosols).
• Administer medical gases, humidification, aerosols, and respiratory medications.
• Maintain airway clearance for patients (airways and ventilatory support).
• Provide primary assistance in CPR and emergent life support.

Performance of technical work concerned with administering therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities. Operating and monitoring respiratory equipment, such as, continuous and intermittent ventilators, medical gas delivery apparatus, incentive breathing/hyperinflation devices, environmental control systems, and aerosol devices; administering medical gases, humidification, aerosols, and respiratory medications; maintaining clearance of patients natural and artificial airways; providing primary assistance in cardiopulmonary resuscitation;
