Job summary

Lovelace Health System in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a night shift, full-time Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our respiratory care team. You will provide respiratory care to both critical and non-critical patients and ensure treatment plans align with physician orders and safety standards.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy, NM licensure, and BLS certification; a Bachelor's degree and additional credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent.
• Current NM Respiratory Care License is required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate delivery of respiratory treatment for critical and non-critical patients.
• Ensure compliance with standards of practice, physician orders, and organizational policies.

• Lovelace Medical Center (LMC), in the heart of Albuquerque, is an acute care hospital providing comprehensive care, including around-the-clock emergency care, surgical services, non-invasive robotic spine surgery, stroke care, radiology, and oncology services. Responsibilities

Coordinates the safe delivery of appropriate and effective respiratory treatment to critical and non-critical patients in accordance with current standards of practice, physicians’ orders, staffing levels, and organizational policies. Adheres to policy, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Program. Related experience may be substituted for related education.
• Current NM Respiratory Care License.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• One (1) year of related experience.
• AARC Membership.
• National Specialty Certification.
• PALS, NRP, or ACLS may be required by the facility/department.
