Job summary

You will operate within established policies to maintain patient safety. Requirements include an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy, NM licensure, and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy is required; related experience may substitute education.
• Current NM Respiratory Care License.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the safe delivery of appropriate and effective respiratory treatment to patients per orders, standards of practice, staffing, and policies; ensures compliance and patient safety.

Education

Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy

Bachelor's degree in a related field

PALS/NRP/ACLS certifications may be required by facility

AARC Membership

Responsibilities

Coordinates the safe delivery of appropriate and effective respiratory treatment to critical and non-critical patients in accordance with current standards of practice, physicians’ orders, staffing levels, and organizational policies. Adheres to policy, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Program. Related experience may be substituted for related education.
• Current NM Respiratory Care License.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• One (1) year of related experience.
• AARC Membership.
• National Specialty Certification.
• PALS, NRP, or ACLS may be required by the facility/department.
