AMG Specialty Hospital - Lafayette is offering a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus for Full Time Respiratory Therapist for Night Shifts. This employee-owned hospital provides competitive benefits and ESOP in Lafayette, LA.

We care for patients with complex respiratory needs and require completion of an approved respiratory care program, active Louisiana license, BLS and ACLS, plus 1–3 years of related experience. Night/weekend shift differentials apply.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved respiratory care program.
• Active Louisiana Respiratory Therapist License.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Minimum of one to three years of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to LTAC patients as directed by physicians.
• Monitor patient condition and adjust therapy as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists to optimize care.
• Document care and patient responses in the medical record.

AMG Specialty Hospital - Lafayette is offering a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus* for Full Time Respiratory Therapist for Night Shifts.

Some of the medical conditions that are commonly treated include but are not limited to; Respiratory Failure requiring ventilation, vapotherm, high flow, bipap, cpap, and nasal cannula. Depending on the complexity of these patients, they can require sedation/pain management, pressor management, and cardiac/anti-arrhythmic management. Complicated infections requiring long-term IV antibiotics. Chronic non-healing wounds requiring extensive treatment with wound vacs and frequent dressing changes. RN's will be responsible for direct and indirect patient care in the long-term acute care setting. Ability to communicate with physicians, CCO/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
