A healthcare management company in Lafayette is seeking a PRN Respiratory Therapist for night shifts at AMG Specialty Hospital. This role involves providing direct and indirect patient care in a long-term acute care setting, managing complex medical conditions requiring advanced respiratory interventions. Candidates must possess an active Louisiana Respiratory Therapist License, current BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1-3 years of related experience, with an ability to efficiently communicate patient conditions with the care team.

Formación

• Minimum of one to three years of related work experience.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

AMG Specialty Hospital –LafayetteisseekingPRN Respiratory Therapist for Night Shifts.Some of the medical conditions that are commonly treated include but are not limited to; Respiratory Failure requiring ventilation, vapotherm, high flow, bipap, cpap, and nasal cannula. Depending on the complexity of these patients, they can require sedation/pain management, pressor management, and cardiac/anti-arrhythmic management. Complicated infections requiring long-term IV antibiotics. Chronic non-healing wounds requiring extensive treatment with wound vacs and frequent dressing changes. RN’s will be responsible for direct and indirect patient care in the long-term acute care setting. Ability to communicate with physicians, CCO/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Respond quickly and accurately to changes in conditionor response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
