Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Support Technician to deliver comprehensive direct and indirect patient care across home, office, and hospital settings. You will train staff, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure accurate documentation while maintaining HIPAA compliance and caring for patients with dignity.

Responsibilities include PAP setup, patient follow-ups, and basic repairs, with travel to service areas as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with equipment repair or maintenance is preferred.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with databases.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology helpful.
• Understanding insurance verification processes is beneficial.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication; professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Respiratory Department Staff and Program Managers to provide equipment instruction, service, and troubleshooting for respiratory patients.
• Set up and fit PAP patients with appropriate equipment and masks, communicating instructions clearly.
• Conduct patient follow-up calls and visits to ensure optimal care outcomes; escalate urgent needs.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and simple repairs per policy and manufacturer guidelines.
• Report equipment hazards and incidents per company policies.
• Maintain knowledge of current Respiratory Programs and HME products/services.
