Job summary

Rutherford Regional Health System is seeking a Respiratory Supervisor to oversee nightly respiratory staff, coordinate scheduling, and ensure delivery of high-quality patient care in a dynamic hospital setting.

The role emphasizes staff mentoring, policy compliance, and resolving complex patient care issues while maintaining reliable attendance and contributing to a collaborative care environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.
• Applicable work experience may be used in lieu of education.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in state of North Carolina.
• BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP required.

Responsibilities

• Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels.
• Provides direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff; performs or assists with evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Assesses and ensures quality of services; facilitates staff development; ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
• Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill service levels.
• Leads handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

How you'll contribute

• Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels.
• Provides direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff. Performs or assists with
• performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Assesses and ensures quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs. Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels.
• Leads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Additional Information:
• Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors.
• Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information.
• Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.
