Job summary

GSK in the United States seeks a Specialty Account Specialist to lead scientific engagement with specialist customers for a biologic portfolio. You will navigate reimbursement and distribution processes, maintain current therapeutic knowledge, and deliver product education to customers across assigned territories.

The role emphasizes strategic account planning, cross-functional collaboration, and proactive customer service within a dynamic respiratory and specialty portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Ability to travel domestically up to 30% in some territories.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Residence within the assigned territory and relocation not provided.
• Role level depends on experience: Specialty Account Specialist (grade 8) 5+ years; Senior Specialty Account Specialist (grade 7) 12+ years.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific knowledge, business acumen, and customer engagement to specialist customers for a GSK biologic product.
• Understand reimbursement/distribution landscape and refer to appropriate resources for reimbursement and distribution decisions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of severe asthma therapeutic expertise.
• Provide product educational programs and in-services to customers.
• Develop strategies and tactics to generate sales and tailor plans for Allergists, Pulmonologists, nurses, PAs, and managers.
• Maintain strong relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations, Medical, and other GSK functions.
• Manage allocated resources and deliver outstanding customer service.
