Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support registered nurses in daily patient care tasks in a hospital setting. You will assist with bathing, feeding, mobility, and positioning, while ensuring patient comfort and safety alongside the RN.

Responsibilities include accurate documentation in the EMR, timely communication of observations, and participation in admissions, transfers, and discharges under supervision.

Qualifications

• GED or HSED or high school diploma required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding, ambulation and positioning.
• Document patient data accurately in EMR.
• Perform rounding and communicate observations to RN.
• Assist with admission, transfer and discharge under RN supervision.
• Handle specimen collection and routine tasks as needed.
• Maintain patient environment and stock nursing area.
