Job summary

Aurora Health Care is seeking an entry-level patient care assistant to support RNs in daily patient care, documentation, and basic clinical tasks. You will participate in admissions, rounds, and discharge activities, while adhering to safety and infection prevention standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic computer tasks and documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication required.
• Ability to organize tasks and manage priorities.

• Fundamental nursing assistant competencies and patient interaction.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care (bathing, feeding, ROM, ambulation).
• Measure and document vital signs and input/output in EMR.
• Perform rounding, report observations to RN promptly.
• Support admission, transfer and discharge processes under supervision.
• Collect specimens and assist with point-of-care testing as directed.
• Transport supplies and maintain stock in nursing areas; clean equipment.
• Maintain skin integrity and ensure use of compression devices as needed.
• Comply with infection prevention policies and hand hygiene practices.
• Demonstrate age-specific care knowledge and adaptability.
