Job summary

Asante is seeking a Respiratory Care Tech 1 to support patients in critical care, general medicine and the emergency department under the supervision of an RT. This role emphasizes teamwork and the seamless operation of the Respiratory Care Services, with a focus on critical care patients.

Qualifications

• No experience is required.
• BLS: Basic Life Support is required upon start.
• EMT: Emergency Medical Technician certified by Oregon Department of Human Services or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians is required
• CMOT: Certified Monitor Technician is preferred
• PHTLS: Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support is preferred

Responsibilities

• The Respiratory Care Tech 1 helps provide care to patients in critical care areas, general medicine, and emergency department under the direction of the Respiratory Therapist (RT). They work as a team member and help promote the functioning of the Respiratory Care Services Department with an emphasis on Critical Care patients.
• They work in conjunction with the Mid-Level and Provider and support patient care activities as needed.
