Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Respiratory Therapy Technician - Non-Certified to support basic respiratory care under supervision of licensed staff. The role includes assisting with treatments, monitoring patients, maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities include documenting treatments, preparing supplies, educating patients, and upholding infection control standards in a clinical setting. 0–1 years of related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Respiratory Therapy Technician training program or related coursework.
• 0-1 years of experience in respiratory care preferred.
• Experience in respiratory therapy or oxygen therapy support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed respiratory therapists with basic treatments including oxygen and aerosol therapy.
• Observe patients during therapy and report adverse reactions.
• Clean, maintain, and set up respiratory equipment following safety protocols.
• Record treatments and patient responses in medical records.
• Prepare supplies and ensure equipment availability.
• Educate patients and families on basic respiratory exercises under supervision.
• Follow infection control policies and maintain a safe patient environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
